For inspiration for a theme for this latest member’s only competition I just had a quick look around my room and spotted a book title The Timekeeper.

a creature rocks its jointed body
crunches hours days years
seconds jog
down
its throat
pause swallow pause
cogs turn behind a blank face
an eyelid shuts opens shuts
light judders steadies judders

slows
speeds

waves break tides sway footprints fill with sand
