Forty poetry lovers gathered at The Lansdown in Bristol to celebrate the launch of Like It Is by Philip Lyons.
One guest commented “It’s my kind of poetry and I feel I’ve been waiting for it for a long time – thank you for providing the gift of it at last.” Another wrote to Philip a day later: “Yesterday was special. Beautiful poems, beautifully read. And a lovely gathering in a perfect venue. I hope you’re still basking in the moment…” Philip himself called the night his “Oscar moment.”
