Poetry Space Services Now Available

Writing poetry is an art form requiring direction and guidance.

Submitting work for publication can often be an emotional time for the writer, as there is always the prospect of rejection. In today’s online, fast-paced environment, many talented writers are left in the dark, either with a sharp rejection note or simply no response from editors and publishers.

This can be quite destructive to a writer’s creative energy and sense of self-worth.
At Poetry Space, we believe poetry and creativity can be nurtured and celebrated. Just as a seed, if planted in the right soil, with the right temperature, support and nourishment, flourishes, so too can your creative spirit.

As part of our nurturing philosophy, Poetry Space provides ongoing critiquing, mentoring and support.

Our services include:

Poetry critiquing

Send up to 100 lines of poetry, in any style. We will provide a thorough full-page analysis with tips on:

1. How to craft your poetry by way of symbolism, theme and rhythm
2. Spelling, grammar, punctuation and layout
3. Effective use of language – the art of choosing the ‘right word’
4. Poets, books and research material relevant to your unique style
5. Prompt 7-10 working day turnaround

Face-to-face creative writing tutorial

We can provide one-on-one tutorial services for all writers, all ages.

1. How to craft your poetry, short story, essay or novel
2. Editing and proof-reading
3. How to use language in an effective and emotive way
4. Tips on improving your creative energy, motivation and productivity
5. Guidance on reading and research material tailored to your writing style

Service available in London and Bristol.
Children and students welcome.

Publishing Services We offer a complete service to poets wanting to publish a small collection of poems to give to family and friends or to sell at readings. Competitive rates.

Book promotion If you have a poetry collection in print that you'd like us to promote, we can do that through the Poetry Space Bookshop page. Send in the details of the book and we will sell it and process payments for you through PayPal. We take 20% commission for doing this and send you the rest.

With a lifetime of poetry experience, we run regular workshops and writing groups for new and established writers.

Our workshops are a fun, dynamic and highly enriching way to help you generate ideas in a welcoming atmosphere.
